1. About TeamFormer
TeamFormer is a free platform for game developers to pitch projects, find collaborators, and form teams. It is operated by Pierre-Yves Revellin, based in Lyon, France.
TeamFormer is a meeting point \u2014 not a project management tool, not a job board, not an agency. Users connect here, then take everything else (communication, project management, contracts, IP) to their own tools and terms.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account on TeamFormer, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
3. Account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
- You must provide a valid, permanent email address (disposable email services are not accepted)
- You must choose a unique username
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
- One account per person \u2014 multiple accounts are not permitted
4. What TeamFormer provides
- A space to pitch game development projects
- A way to discover projects and people
- A messaging system to express interest in a project ("reach out")
- Profile pages to showcase your skills and links
TeamFormer does not provide:
- Project management tools
- Legal frameworks for collaboration
- Employment or freelance contracts
- Intellectual property protection
- Mediation or dispute resolution between users
5. Your content
What you keep
You retain full ownership of everything you create on TeamFormer \u2014 your project descriptions, images, messages, and profile content. TeamFormer claims no rights, no equity, and no ownership over your work or your projects.
What you grant us
By publishing content on TeamFormer, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display that content on the platform. This license exists solely to operate the service (showing your project on the homepage, displaying your profile to other users, etc.). This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
What you're responsible for
You are responsible for the content you publish. You agree not to publish content that:
- Infringes on someone else's intellectual property
- Is illegal under French or EU law
- Contains hate speech, harassment, threats, or discrimination
- Is spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation unrelated to game development
- Contains malware, phishing links, or deceptive URLs
- Impersonates another person or organization
- Is sexually explicit or violent beyond what's appropriate for a professional platform
6. Intellectual property between users
TeamFormer has no involvement in the intellectual property of projects created by its users. When users collaborate on a project discovered through TeamFormer:
- TeamFormer is not a party to any agreement between collaborators
- TeamFormer does not mediate IP disputes
- TeamFormer does not enforce or guarantee any agreements made between users
- Users are strongly encouraged to establish their own IP agreements, contracts, and terms before beginning any collaboration
7. The platform is free
TeamFormer is entirely free. There are no paid tiers, no premium features, no transaction fees, and no cuts taken from any project or collaboration.
8. Moderation
TeamFormer reserves the right to:
- Remove content that violates these terms
- Suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms
- Remove content or accounts at our discretion to maintain the safety and quality of the platform
We aim to handle moderation fairly, but TeamFormer is a small independent project \u2014 not a corporation with a legal department. Decisions are made in good faith.
9. Reach-out system and communication
The reach-out feature allows users to send a one-time message to a project owner. This is an introduction, not an application or contract.
- Project owners may or may not respond \u2014 there is no obligation
- Further communication happens off-platform (Discord, email, etc.)
- TeamFormer is not responsible for interactions that occur outside the platform
10. No guarantees
TeamFormer is provided "as is." We do our best to keep the platform running and reliable, but we cannot guarantee:
- Uninterrupted availability
- That you will find collaborators or team members
- That projects listed are legitimate or will be completed
- That other users are who they say they are
- That collaborations formed through the platform will be successful
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by French law:
- TeamFormer is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
- TeamFormer is not liable for disputes between users
- TeamFormer is not liable for losses related to projects, collaborations, or communications initiated through the platform
- TeamFormer is not liable for content published by users
12. Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at contact.teamformer@gmail.com. Upon deletion:
- Your profile will be removed
- Your projects must be deleted or transferred to another user before account deletion
- Messages you sent will remain visible to the project owners who received them (without your profile link)
- Flames you gave will be removed
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. If we make significant changes, we will notify users via the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, the courts of Lyon, France have exclusive jurisdiction.
