teamformer is a free platform where game developers pitch projects and find each other. You post what you want to build, people see where they can help, teams form. Then you take it wherever you want, Discord, Miro, your living room...
Think of it as a lobby.
The game industry has lost over 45,000 jobs since 2022. Experienced developers are out of work. Juniors can barely get in. A lot of talent is sitting on the sideline right now, and much of it won't wait around forever.
At the same time, remote work has made collaboration across distances genuinely possible. The project here is simple: give people a way to discover projects and find teammates.
The best predictor of whether a game will ship well is the team behind it. Not the budget, not the IP, not anyone's resume. Team synergy is what works, and it builds over time. It has immaterial value that's hard to measure and harder to rebuild once lost.
That's exactly what's being destroyed right now. Every wave of layoffs breaks apart teams that took years to form. The knowledge, the trust, the shorthand between people who've shipped together — that doesn't come back quickly.
I know this because I lived it. Five people from a game school, a living room, two thousand euros. We shipped five games, sixty million downloads. No funding, no connections, no pedigree. Just a team that worked well together.
That's not a unique story. It happens all the time in this industry when people find the right collaborators. The hard part was always finding them.
teamformer doesn't take a cut. Doesn't ask for equity. Doesn't own what you build. Doesn't sell your data. There is no premium tier and no business model built on your work.
You find your people here. Everything after that is yours.
This platform is built out of gratitude for the game dev community. It's the only one that gave me a chance. I hope it can do the same for others.
